ONVIF is the world’s renowned open industry forum that provides standardized interfaces for IP-based physical security products' effective interoperability.

The GS-5424PLX is one of the world's first ONVIF Profile Q Conformant network switches; it features an intelligent network management interface, long-range data transmission guaranteed, 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports, and four SFP+ ports for 10 Gigabit uplinks and long-range copper or optical connections.

With the exclusive Zero-configuration feature, the EDIMAX GS-5424PLX lets deploying a comprehensive surveillance network as easily as possible. Just click the“Config Reload” button in the management system to automatically create a separate Surveillance Virtual Local Area Network (Surveillance VLAN) that separates data traffic from surveillance network traffic. The Surveillance VLAN ensures smooth video transmission, avoids privacy leakage and data vulnerability. The GS-5424PLX can strengthen the security of real-time video surveillance without sacrificing the transmission quality of both data and surveillance traffics for businesses.

The GS-5424PLX is a full-featured smart surveillance switch with excellent firmware specifications. Equipped with a dedicated intelligent microchip for system-controlled cooling, the GS-5424PLX can measure and control fan speeds and turn on/off each fan for power saving. It also supports PD (powered devices) alive check and PoE backfeed protection to provide power efficiency and at the same time, avoid damaging the PoE ports. The switch is tailored for IP cameras and far away network device applications with a specific long-range mode that enables power and data transmission of up to 200 meters at a guaranteed speed of 10Mbps. With 128Gbps backplane bandwidth, the GS-5424PLX has a strong switching capability for sending data to destination devices at ultra-high speed. It supports a forwarding rate of 95.2Mpps (64-byte package size), utilizing the maximum available bandwidth without delay.
